Osage ARP Cash Assistance Program
The Osage ARP Cash Assistance Program was a one-time cash assistance program run by the Osage Nation's Financial Assistance Department, funded through the tribe's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation. Enrolled Osage Nation members who attested to a negative economic impact from the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency could receive up to $2,000 by check. The Osage Nation Congress appropriated $35 million of its $108 million ARPA allocation for the program. The application portal opened August 4, 2021 and closed September 1, 2022.

Approved applicants received up to $2,000 as a one-time payment; the exact amount depended on information submitted on the application and was not automatically the full $2,000 for all recipients. The Nation used a third-party administrator (RT Consulting) to process applications and mail paper checks. Applicants who did not already receive the maximum award were slated to be revisited after the program's close for supplemental funding. Only one payment was allowed per enrolled member; those who had already received the assistance were not eligible for additional payments.

The Nation later opened temporary membership enrollment for infants so families with newborns could apply. Applications from non-Osage individuals or unauthorized submissions on behalf of minors were denied. Members who had already received Osage ARP Cash Assistance were not eligible for a second payment.

Members could complete and submit an electronic application through the Osage Nation website (osagenation-nsn.gov/cash-assistance), download and mail a printed application, call (918) 287-5555 to request a mailed application, or visit the Welcome Center at 239 W. 12th, Pawhuska, OK for in-person help applying online.
