Wealth Partaking Scheme
The Wealth Partaking Scheme is an annual cash disbursement by the Macao SAR Government to all holders of a valid Macau Resident Identity Card, funded from the territory's fiscal reserves (largely gaming-tax revenue). Running continuously since 2008, it pays permanent residents MOP10,000 (~US$1,238) and non-permanent residents MOP6,000 (~US$743) per year as of 2026. It is one of the few ongoing, universal, government-funded resource dividends in the world and has continued uninterrupted through the 2020-2023 pandemic-era revenue collapse.

- Benefit details
Permanent residents receive MOP10,000 (~US$1,238) and non-permanent residents MOP6,000 (~US$743) once per year; these amounts have been unchanged since fiscal year 2019 and were maintained even during the 2020-2023 pandemic-era gaming revenue collapse. The 2026 round began distribution on 1 July 2026, with most funds sent via bank transfer and the remainder by crossed cheque. A related but distinct measure also injects MOP10,000 into new Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund accounts and MOP7,000 into existing accounts for eligible residents. Most residents receive payment automatically without applying.
Eligibility
Overview
- Eligibility details
Open to all holders of a valid or renewable Macau Resident Identity Card (permanent or non-permanent) who meet a 183-day physical presence requirement in Macau during the qualifying year. Eight statutory exemption categories (e.g., full-time study, hospitalization, working outside Macau, residing in mainland China while aged 65+) allow physical absence to still count toward the 183 days. Newborns and residents who obtain ID cards during the year are included and paid on a pro-rated/automatic basis.

Application Process
- How to apply
Most eligible residents are identified automatically from government ID/residency records and do not need to apply. Residents who do not initially meet the 183-day presence requirement may request reconsideration by citing one of eight statutory exemption grounds via the 'Macao One Account' portal, the Wealth Partaking Scheme website (planocp.gov.mo), by mail (Macao P.O. Box No. 3094), or in person at one of five government service centres.
- Selection process
No competitive selection - universal entitlement for all valid Macau Resident Identity Card holders who meet the residency requirement. The Social Security Fund reviews borderline/exception cases (approx. 10 working days) and forwards the approved beneficiary list to the Financial Services Bureau for disbursement.
