Sources and method
- Wealth: UBS Global Wealth Databook 2023, median and mean wealth per adult (assets less debts) in US dollars for 2022.
- Income: World Bank Poverty and Inequality Platform, median and mean income or consumption per person for 2024, in 2021 purchasing power parity dollars. Your income is converted with the World Bank's price levels for your country, so a dollar counts for more where it buys more.
- Exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API and the ADA price from the Dotare app and CoinGecko.
- Each country's spread is modelled as a log-normal curve fitted to its median and mean, and the global figure combines every country weighted by its people. Many countries measure consumption rather than income, so treat the results as a good estimate, not an exact rank.
